Use with Cherry Studio

Cherry Studio supports adding custom model services. Using the OpenAI-compatible option, you can add yylx.io as a new provider.

Prepare an API Key

Create a Cherry Studio-specific Key in the yylx.io console first. GUI clients tend to store Keys long-term, so avoid sharing one Key with your command-line tools.

You'll need the following:

Add the provider

1. Open Cherry Studio.
2. Go to "Model Services" or the provider management page in settings.
3. Add a new OpenAI-compatible provider.
4. Name it yylx.io.
5. Enter the Key created in the yylx.io console as the API Key.
6. For the API address, enter:

1. Save the configuration.

After saving, if Cherry Studio offers a "Check" or "Test connection" button, click it once. If it fetches the model list or reports success, move on to adding models.

Add models

If Cherry Studio doesn't fetch the model list automatically, add the model names shown in the console manually.

Start by adding the one model you use most and confirm it chats normally, then add the rest. Copy model names in full — don't change the case, hyphens, or date suffixes.

Test the connection

Start a new chat in Cherry Studio, select the yylx.io provider and a model, and send a short message:

Hi — introduce yourself in one sentence.

If the model replies normally, the setup works.

Usage tips

If you keep multiple providers in Cherry Studio, keep yylx.io's model names distinguishable from the official ones so you don't pick the wrong service. You can also add just the frequently used models first and fill in the rest once things look stable.

Troubleshooting

If the connection fails, check that the API address stops at /v1 — don't append /chat/completions or any other full endpoint path.
